We are working with a top Corporation that has a need for an experienced real estate attorney for an important position within their Company. The position reports to the General Counsel.
The Company is looking for an attorney with 12+ years of real estate and regulatory/compliance experience. The GC would like a candidate to have had previous in-house experience although it is not a requirement.
Responsible for review of and advice on residential real estate sales contract forms in different states.
Responsible for reviewing and advising on residential mortgage finance questions and compliance. This includes OFAC compliance. Must be familiar with HUD and other financing requirements.
Responsible for managing outside counsel in preparing community disclosures to prospective purchasers.
Responsible for preparing guidelines for residential real estate advertising.
Responsible for managing lobbyists in political lobbying efforts regarding issues such as statutes providing builders notice of defects and an opportunity to repair.
Responsible for reviewing compliance with laws applicable to political contributions.
Responsible for interaction with industry trade associations.
Responsible for advising on licensing requirements for real estate salespersons and general contractors.
