We are looking for a go-getting and dynamic superstar privacy attorney with significant privacy experience to support the Bay Area’s top-tier tech companies.
This person would be responsible for:
Counseling business partners on domestic and international privacy laws, regulations, and industry best practices, particularly related to online media/advertising and ecommerce businesses;
Drafting and negotiating B2B contracts and disclosures, including privacy policies, TOS and EULAs; and
Ensuring that privacy matters are incorporated at the design stage into all products and ensuring compliance with privacy policies and procedures.
Demonstrated expert knowledge of both EU and domestic privacy laws & regulations;
General familiarity with global privacy (ex-US and EU);
Substantial familiarity with security terms in commercial contracts and compliance with security standards, working with chief security officers and a compliance team;
Experience with ecommerce, and online marketing and advertising laws;
Experience working with product teams;
Familiarity with SaaS business models, contract terms, and system architecture;
Experience running IP programs (patent portfolio in particular) (ideal but not mandatory);
Minimum 7 years of experience as a tech transactions/IP attorney; and
MUST be a member in good standing with the State Bar of California (RIHC status is not currently accepted)
