Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA) has been exclusively retained by a Confidential Company to conduct a search for a General Counsel . Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
Overview: The General Counsel (GC) will serve as the primary legal counsel to the Company, and will advise the CEO, the Board of Directors and the other executive leaders of the Company. The GC also will be responsible for all legal affairs for the Company, including corporate governance, all commercial contracts, intellectual property, capital raising transactions, acquisitions and dispositions, litigation, real estate transactions, compliance programs and human resources. GC candidates must have expertise in most of the following legal disciplines: corporate governance, M&A, financing, regulatory matters, licensing, and employment law issues. Experience in the outsourcing industry is highly desirable.
Experience: 12-15+ years of legal experience, including service as a General Counsel or Deputy General Counsel in a larger company that ideally serves the outsourcing industry. Candidates must possess considerable in-house experience as a corporate transactional lawyer with a preference for candidates from outsourcing or healthcare companies and be capable of handling all of the legal and business issues associated with advising a private or public company with an active growth agenda. In short this is a “roll-up the sleeves hands on” position.
