The Staff Attorney is an entry-level position primarily responsible for counseling on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters and structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions. The position will work directly with the business on transactions, providing day-to-day advice, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries. This position will be responsible for structuring, drafting and negotiating agreements and providing ongoing legal counseling in a wide range of legal areas, including human resources, information technology, and regulatory compliance. This position must utilize a flexible approach to addressing a high-volume contract workload in a way that protects the company's interests without slowing down the business and provide legal services in a way that displays legal excellence, attention to detail, a proactive and practical approach, and a dedication to customer service.

Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts
Provide general legal support including in the areas of commercial disputes, transaction structuring and strategy, process improvements, risk assessments, legal and regulatory compliance, corporate policies, and other issues
Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing information as required
Complies with federal and state regulations and service standards
Maintains professional and technical knowledge through continuing education
Upholds the Lowe’s Code of Business Conduct at all times
Conducts legal research and draft legal memoranda as needed
Works on special projects as assigned
Meets or exceeds customers’ expectations, looks for ways to improve their experience, while creating a seamless experience by understanding how the Staff Counsel role, team goals, and daily activities fit into the company vision
