The company is a publicly traded, $30 billion market cap, leader in its industry. The Senior Counsel, Commercial will take a leadership role in handling various legal needs for the company including: negotiating and drafting complex commercial contracts, letters of intent, joint venture agreements and will provide commercial and advisory counseling to senior business leaders.
The workload is varied and could possibly include: large onsite project development (with some project financing), joint ventures, long and medium term offtake agreements, transportation agreements, equipment sales, procurement agreements and some general compliance work.

Minimum of eight to ten years as a practicing lawyer; ideally will have started career in well-regarded law firm followed by an in-house position with an industrial, energy or manufacturing corporation of relevant size and complexity.
Experience advising on complex commercial contracting matters.
Transaction experience; ideally including project finance matters, joint ventures, large project/capital investments and strategic alliances.
Some knowledge of FCPA
