Multi-billion dollar investment management company seeks a US or UK admitted attorney to sit in its Charlotte, NC, office and act as a liaison between the US and UK legal teams, serving $40B+ EMEA business. This attorney must be comfortable communicating with international business partners and subsidiaries and must have strong knowledge of UK and European financial regulations. This position involves negotiating contracts with a range of financial institutions, advising high-level executives worldwide, and providing regulatory guidance to internal business partners, clients, and outside counsel.
Qualified applicants must have:
At least five years of experience, ideally gained at a large AmLaw 100 or Magic Circle law firm, involving reviewing and interpreting UK and European financial regulations
Strong knowledge of the FCA, MiFID, UCITS, and KIID regulations gained while supporting UK or European investment management and/or advisor clients
The ability to work independently and prepare concise analyses to present to a range of internal business partners, external clients, and outside counsel
A US JD or UK law degree from a Top Tier law school, with excellent academic credentials
