FleetCor Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: FLT) – a Fortune 1000 NYSE global payment products and services company (#309 by market capitalization) – is seeking an experienced litigator to join the company’s legal team in its headquarters in Norcross, Georgia.
Reporting to the General Counsel, the successful candidate will manage worldwide litigation for the company, with a focus on large U.S. commercial cases. The candidate also will manage a securities class action lawsuit, a derivative suit, small customer disputes, bankruptcy preference actions, insurance claims, and labor and employment lawsuits.
The position primarily involves developing strategies for successful litigation outcomes, selecting and working with outside counsel, closely managing outside counsel budgets and bills, handling insurance claims, working with the business to marshal the facts needed for successful outcomes, and counseling the business on when litigation is advisable and when it is not.

Compensation: Competitive compensation package includes base and bonus commensurate with experience.
Relocation: Relocation available for the right candidate. Local candidates preferred.
7+ years of litigation experience preferably including experience in (and against) AmLaw 100 law firms
Experience as first chair trial and appellate counsel preferred
Experience handling a wide variety of multi-million-dollar commercial litigation matters
Additional experience in any of the following areas is desirable but not essential: (a) experience representing companies in the payments industry, (b) antitrust experience, (c) advertising/promotion law experience, and/or (d) ability to assist with non-litigation matters when needed (e.g., commercial contracting, M&A, and/or SEC disclosure/compliance)
JD from a top-ranked U.S. law school preferred
Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
