The Corporate Counsel, IP Litigation will be a key member of our Legal Department team and Intellectual Property Practice Group.

The Corporate Counsel, IP will assist in the drafting and management of intellectual property issues.
Depending on the needs of the company and the varying workload, the Corporate Counsel, IP also may assist with the company’s growing transactions practice and litigation matters.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including license agreements, strategic partnerships, software transactions, open source licenses and related services.
Interact with other Legal Department staff members, company employees, outside counsel and opposing counsel, including department members in the U.S., APAC, and EMEA.
Work closely with our global engineering team during concept, development and execution of new products and processes.
Conduct internal training and oversight to assure compliance with intellectual property rights of third-parties.
Work with outside counsel for prosecution and protection of patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
Assist global sales team to provide legal diligence to successfully close transactions in a manner consistent with Company policies and best interests.
Perform other general corporate law functions and provide other general corporate law advice as needed.
Provide other legal support to the Legal Department team and company, as needed.
Graduate of an accredited American law school and currently licensed to practice law in good standing in the state of Nevada or another U.S. state in which they reside.
At least 5 years of related experience.
Experience in the technology industry.
Experience in intellectual property litigation is a plus.
Admission to practice before the USPTO a plus.
Ability to work remotely when not physically present at primary place of employment.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, as described above and as modified from time to time based on the needs of the company.
Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to prepare legal analyses and reports, to lead or participate in conference calls, and conduct meetings with third parties.
Ability to work both independently, as a self-starter with strong work ethic, as well as collaboratively as team player with other internal Intellectual Property staff, the General Counsel, and other Legal Department colleagues.
Excellent judgment and the ability to function and thrive in a company involved in fast-paced, high-stakes transactions and litigation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent legal research and writing skills required.
Able to manage multiple priorities with “can do” attitude, work cross-functionally, and meet tight deadlines.
Typically up to 10% domestic travel.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
Experience with GoToMeeting a plus.
Personable, self-starting team player with a friendly demeanor and sense of humor.
Proactive, organized, self-motivated, and self-disciplined.
Willing and able to work in a fast-paced, emerging technology company environment.
