This position will report to the chief legal counsel for the US Region. ASML’s worldwide Legal Department consists of several attorneys, supported by paralegals and contract managers. We are a close knit group of highly empowered, business oriented lawyers with broad responsibilities who enjoy working together.
Providing legal support to the US sales and service groups, including interpreting, drafting, reviewing and negotiating various customer related agreements and documents.
Working closely with other members of the legal department and outside counsels to provide legal support in the areas of contracts, IP, compliance, employment, and litigation.
Providing day-to-day legal advice to various business units and other internal clients.
Participating in corporate transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, alliances, and collaborations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must have 6-8 years of relevant legal experience (some in-house experience preferred).
Substantial experience with commercial contracts and other corporate transactions is necessary.
Must have a J.D. Degree and have a membership in a state Bar.
Must have direct experience in negotiating business transactions and strong background in commercial law.
Prefer candidates with exposure in international business and high technology environments.
Individual must be flexible, be practical and a team player, be organized, and have a strong work ethics.
Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multitask.
Must be able to work independently without day to day supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
