The Corporate Secretary is a highly visible and substantive position with primary responsibility for coordinating all Board matters and meetings. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, the Corporate Secretary will attend all Board meetings and provide legal and business counsel on the major issues and strategies of VEON.
The successful candidate will have at least ten years of experience with expertise in public company, governance gained from working at a highly respected law firm and at a public company, preferably as a Corporate Secretary or Assistant Corporate Secretary. He or she should also have an excellent academic record. While the position is not responsible for securities compliance, experience in this area is also preferred.
