We're looking for an attorney to join the Match Group legal team. This position will report to the Vice President & Associate General Counsel, Litigation and Intellectual Property, and will have broad responsibility for assisting in protecting the intellectual property of our brands, as well as assisting with general litigation and legal support.
What's my day-to-day?
Strategically protecting and enforcing Match Group’s trademark portfolios, including ongoing analysis and review of infringing domains, apps and social media.
Preparation of cease and desist letters.
Handling copyright enforcement, including preparation and submission of takedown notices.
Drafting and filing of UDRP, URS and other complaints.
Responsible for trademark and copyright applications, registrations and renewals.
Utilizing and researching information using the following websites: USPTO, WIPO, whois, netscape, Espace, and other trademark online resources.
Handling enforcement matters, including domain name disputes, UDRP actions and matters related to the use of trademarks on social media platforms.
Conducting and analyzing trademark clearance searches and reviewing trademark watch notices.
Responding and objecting to subpoenas.
Assisting with discovery requests.
Conducting legal research.
Providing other legal support as needed.

What qualifications do I need to land this role?
Juris Doctorate Degree.
Minimum 2 years’ experience, with top law firm and/or in house legal department experience preferred.
Member of state bar (Texas preferred).
Strong fact-finding, drafting, negotiating, writing and research skills.
Trademark prosecution and enforcement experience.
Experience in US intellectual property law and the internet industry; familiarity with the international corollaries of these laws a plus.
Excellent communication and analytical skills, as well as impeccable attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Able to manage competing expectations, prioritize effectively and deliver high-quality, error-free work in an exciting and fast-paced work environment.
