Newly crafted position blending government contracts with an Ethics and Compliance practice is available with a prominent, DC-based government contractor with global operations. (Garrison & Sisson has been exclusively engaged to undertake this search.)
This Counsel level position requires five plus years of training in government contracts (e.g. knowledge of the FAR/DFARS and Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the Procurement Integrity Act, post-government employment restrictions, conflicts of interest, anti-kickback/corruption rules, gifts and gratuities, compliance with the FCPA, privacy, export control, and anti-money laundering regulations among other international public contracting issues), as well as previous experience advising on E&C functions, including Code of Business Ethics & Conduct and policy revisions, training, and communications. Strong preference exists for a candidate experienced in designing and implementing compliance programs and control measures and conducting related trainings.
Working with leadership in the Ethics & Compliance Office, this Counsel will provide advice on the design, implementation and monitoring of the Company’s Government Contracts Compliance program to help ensure that it meets or exceeds requirements for an effective compliance program (per the FAR and Federal Sentencing Guidelines). The Counsel must be comfortable taking the lead on projects but will have the support of more senior attorneys within the department.
