The SVP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary (“GC”) will lead the Company’s legal function, business development, and compliance efforts, and also serve as the Corporate Secretary supporting the Board of Directors. The GC will be a strategic thought partner and advisor to the Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) as the company moves toward commercialization of its development pipeline. He/she will advise the other members of the executive leadership team as well on critical legal and business matters facing the organization and provide effective leadership for the legal function. In addition, the GC will lead business development initiatives, including deal searches, partnerships, licensing and M&A opportunities. This position will report directly to Revance’s CEO, Dan Browne.
Revance, a Silicon Valley-based biotechnology company, is committed to the advancement of remarkable science. The GC must possess solid academic credentials with 15-plus years of exceptional legal experience at a national law firm and deep business experience in-house. The successful candidate must have relevant experience working with a board and as both an executive officer and a general counsel at a public commercial life science company. He/she must have deep knowledge of the drug development and approval process, product commercialization, markets, companies, regulations and people.
