Overview: The Associate Senior Counsel, Transactions will provide legal guidance in connection with physician, clinical, integrative, real estate and other strategic transactions supporting the System's hospital, outpatient, physician and other operating divisions and facilities. Extensive knowledge of applicable healthcare rules and regulations is required, and a background in progressive value-based compensation and population health is desirable. This position will be high profile and will report to the Deputy General Counsel and the Senior Counsel, Physician Contracting.
Organization: RWJBarnabas Health (created by the integration of Robert Wood Johnson and Barnabas Health) is New Jersey’s largest integrated health care delivery system, providing treatment and services to more than three million patients each year.
Compensation: Competitive base salary and bonus.
Experience: Minimum of six (6) years of experience in an intensive health care law environment at either a top law firm or in the legal department of a healthrelated organization. Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal healthcare laws, rules and regulations is required, and a background in progressive value-based compensation and population health is desirable.
Location: West Orange, NJ. This is a national search.
Bar: Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and eligibility for admission to the New Jersey bar as in-house counsel.
