FLEX by Fenwick has an immediate opportunity at a hot content company for a strong media and entertainment attorney with content and new media experience.
You will be part of a small, fast-paced legal team and will work directly with business, engineering and other internal client teams advising on content-related issues, including advising on use rights and business issues and negotiating commercial deals with content providers.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in:
Securing distribution partnership agreements;
Drafting and negotiating content streaming deals;
Securing and managing label and publishing rights;
Negotiating and drafting major partnership deals;
Production, licensing and distribution agreements for online and traditional media; and
Copyright and media law.
Ability to work onsite with the client, full-time for 3-6 months.
4-7 years of legal experience with 2 years of training at a top law firm.
Ability to think strategically and creatively while providing practical counsel to clients and business.
Have a passion for improvement.
A dynamic personality with a “can-do” attitude.
A JD from a top-tier law school and must be a member in good standing with the California State Bar (RIHC status is not accepted at this time).
