We are working with a Company that has grown significantly over the past several years and with that growth comes opportunity. The position will support Company’s domestic and international businesses.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10+ years of relevant Brazilian legal experience as a corporate attorney with either a law firm or an in-house department. Approximately 30% of the work will be corporate securities, 30% will be joint ventures and M&A, 20% will be corporate finance and 20% will be miscellaneous legal matters. The candidate will work closely with the GC and the Deputy General Counsels as necessary.
Applicants must be comfortable dealing with emerging markets. Extensive Experience with civil law jurisdictions is a strong plus.
The company works at a fast pace in a changing global environment. This requires a candidate to have both mental flexibility and intellectual creativity.
Spanish or Portuguese language skills is a must. If you have both even better.
A valid U.S. Bar admission is also required.
Applicants must have at least 10 years of corporate experience either working in a well-recognized law firm, in-house legal department of a company, or a combination of both.
This position demands strong analytical, negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and drafting skills.
Applicants must be eager to learn and be self-motivated.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential.
Applicant should also have the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and set priorities with excellent follow-up skills and organization.
Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills is a must and having both language skills is better.
Compensation is negotiable based on qualifications. The company offers a base salary, a bonus (ranging from 20%-30%), 100% family health insurance, 3% 401(k) match.
