The Legal Department of a large Company in Florida is seeking a talented, highly qualified attorney with significant experience in emerging technology to support a broad range of digital, technology, and IT projects throughout the organization.
Transactional experience (especially in the IT/Tech area is helpful)
Serve as the primary legal contact for interactive technology, digital marketing, and all other digital and mobile related projects across the organization.
Negotiate and draft contracts relating to interactive technology, mobile and digital marketing agreements and licenses, open source licenses, software/technology agreements and licenses, hardware and supply agreements, website and mobile app development and maintenance agreements, content production agreements, cloud-based agreement, and terms and conditions of use.
Provide legal advice on new social media and mobile and digital related legal and regulatory issues and risks, and other interactive technologies;;
Ability to integrate and tie together the emerging new technologies the Company is creating with data privacy and regulatory issues that come with it.
Requirements for the position include:
5+ years of experience in the practice of law with a significant focus on transactions relating to mobile and connected technologies and digital media related matters, e-commerce, and IT.
Substantive knowledge of laws related to digital commerce, emerging mobile technologies, CAN SPAM, CASL, COPPA, data privacy, and consumer protection.
Strong understanding of and interest in the technology that supports marketing and digital commerce.
