Corporate Generalist, General Commercial/Contracts
This role will have a focus on Parametric’s contracting processes, including investment management agreements with clients, vendor agreements and intercompany agreements. Support and development of contracting policy and contract templates program will be a focus. This role will engage with variety of internal business partners across Parametric and will have the opportunity to develop a company-wide contract management program.
The Contracts Manager will be a member of Parametric’s legal team to manage and will drive Parametric’s contracting programs and processes, respond to business inquiries about contracting requirements and advise on related internal policy, processes and controls. Ideal candidate will additionally have the ability and desire to learn and grow skills in reviewing, drafting, negotiating and revising contracts, with the potential to mature into a role as an attorney.
Assume primary day to day responsibility for all contracts at Parametric
Develop and serve as expert and key point of contact on processes and contracting terms related to client agreements
Maintain compliance tracking, reporting, and list(s) of certain agreements and manage related internal communication plans
Maintain legal files, project tracking, clause library and associated tasks
Partner with client relations, compliance, procurement, and audit departments to maintain contracting compliance processes and related controls
Partnering with sales and other business teams to negotiate terms as needed
Act as a contact between attorneys and business partners, ensuring that all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly
Communicate with business teams and other stakeholders about negotiation progress and effectiveness
Other projects as requested
J.D. Degree and a minimum of 1 to 2 years’ relevant experience in a transactional legal setting
Strong experience in drafting and negotiating contracts
Excellent contractual analytical and drafting skills, as well as the ability to aptly summarize key contractual concerns to and on behalf of operating business units
Experience with operational considerations typical of investment advisory enterprises, including an understanding of issues that need to be managed sensitively across to business operations personnel and up to more senior Legal and Compliance personnel
Ability to solve problems and achieve results using sound judgment in a timely manner
Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
