Our client, a specialty pharmaceutical company with operations in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Corporate Counsel and Associate Director, Business Development. This position will actively direct legal and business development activities of the company and also manage regulatory, HR and operations matters. The ideal candidate will have exceptional legal training and experience in a sophisticated legal practice, but will also be capable of contributing on a high level & cross-functional basis to all aspects of an emerging specialty pharmaceutical company.
Work directly with senior management in connection with all legal issues, corporate transactions and business development opportunities
Draft, review and negotiate legal documents, including licensing arrangements, service agreements, customer contracts, consulting agreements, vendor contracts and confidentiality agreements
Manage a wide range of regulatory, HR and operations matters critical to the company's growth
Contribute daily on a range of cross-functional matters and interact with every level of the company on implementation
Be comfortable working in an independent start-up atmosphere and capable of being effective with minimal supervision
J.D. with a minimum of 3+ years of top tier law firm experience
Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one US jurisdiction
Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
Demonstrates the ability to quickly learn legal, regulatory and financial issues associated with the generic and specialty pharmaceutical industry
Ability to manage a diverse array of legal & business matters pertaining to the company
