Overview: Reporting to the Company’s Corporate Secretary, the Corporate Counsel will serve as the key legal advisor to the Company’s senior management team and will guide the day-to-day administration of Sysmex America’s legal department and legal services. This position will be located in Lincolnshire, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
Company: Sysmex America is the US headquarters for Sysmex Corporation based in Kobe, Japan. SAI distributes and supports automated in vitro diagnostic hematology, coagulation and urinalysis analyzers, reagents and information systems for laboratories and healthcare facilities throughout the Western Hemisphere. The Company expands the boundaries of diagnostic science, while developing tools and systems to help its customers respond to increasing demands and diminishing resources.
Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits.
Experience: The successful candidate will likely have between 7 – 15 years of legal experience as in-house counsel and/or private practice. Healthcare industry knowledge (preferably in the medical device industry), prior investigations and prior training experience are all desirable as is a working understanding of the Spanish and/or Portuguese language(s) and an MBA and professional compliance certification.
Bar Admission: Admission to Illinois State Bar or any State Bar of any jurisdiction in the United States.
