Firm Advice has been engaged on an exclusive basis to identify an Assistant General Counsel for a company at the forefront of data privacy. The position is located in the company’s headquarters in Northern Virginia. The selected individual will report to the Chief Legal Officer and interface with multiple departments and executives within the company, assuming a broad area of responsibility in the company’s legal department. This attorney will draft and negotiate technology agreements and other commercial contracts, as well as provide legal advice to senior management to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

J.D. from accredited law school; member in good standing of a bar of the U.S. with ability to practice law as a corporate counsel in Virginia;
Must have at least 5 years’ experience drafting and negotiating commercial technology agreements, including software licenses, vendor, e-commerce, distribution, and sales agreements;
Experience with advertising and marketing issues, particularly under UDAAP and the FTC, and related transactions a plus;
Experience with SEC filings and corporate governance a plus;
Must be a self-starter with excellent communication and analytical skills and able to work independently on multiple tasks; and
