Our client, a prestigious Fortune 500 company, has engaged us on an exclusive basis to identify a health, environment, and safety (HES) compliance attorney with 4-8 years of practice experience.
This position offers significant responsibility, a wide range of work, interaction with internal clients and management, an opportunity to advance, and a collegial work environment. The attorney hired will report to the Assistant General Counsel.
Minimum 4 years of HES experience from a top tier law firm and/or in-house.
Experience with air issues/emissions, species work, waste and water, and health and safety is desired.
Air experience required.
Knowledge of environmental, industrial health and safety statutes and regulations applicable to the oil and gas industry.
Experience counseling business and operations managers on compliance with those laws.
Extensive experience dealing with local, state and federal agencies responsible for enforcing those laws.
Ability to address both day-to-day environmental issues as well as support in the due diligence and auditing functions.
Some travel required.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with senior commercial management.
Must have strong academic credentials and a stable work history.
