Bliss Lawyers is seeking an intellectual property attorney to work in the New York City office of a global media company. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in intellectual property matters, including drafting and negotiating agreements involving technology transfer, patent rights, trademarks and trade secrets protection. The candidate will also have experience supporting M&A due diligence efforts involving patent rights and technology transfer. Candidates must have a deep understanding of IP transactions and demonstrated ability to quickly assess and simplify complex issues down to actionable, cost effective, and practical solutions. A New York bar admission is required. A USPTO registration is strongly preferred. A degree in electrical engineering and/or computer science is a plus.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for: providing IP legal support, and guidance for commercial matters, including contract development, drafting, review, and negotiation support; and supporting mergers and acquisitions.This is a full-time engagement that will begin as soon as possible and last at least two months. Interviews will begin as soon as appropriate candidates are identified.
