In-House Position
We’re seeking a motivated, ethical, dedicated individual with demonstrated and first-rate lawyering, management, and leadership skills. The position will support the Design & Development, Consumer Products Licensing, Inventor Relations, and Information Technology groups of a Fortune 500 consumer products company.

Basic Job Responsibilities include providing day-to-day and strategic legal and business support. Counseling will be business-oriented, interdisciplinary, and front-ended. Primary responsibility includes transactional, pre-litigation dispute resolution, and other support of (a) business groups that ideate and create consumer products, and those that in-license and out-license consumer product concepts, brands, and assets, and (b) information technology functions. Experience with new media and marketing deals and issues is a plus. Skills: The ability to provide first-rate, proactive, strategic legal and business advice. Skilled at identifying issues, and then creatively solving them. A team player who can multi-task and work well under pressure, with constantly changing priorities and sometimes conflicting objectives. Strong drafting, managerial, and organizational skills. Maintain a professional demeanor, in writing and in person, with support staff, management, and outside counsel. High ethical standards are a requirement. A sense of humor is a plus.


Requirements
A minimum of 4-6 years as a law firm and in-house intellectual property transactional attorney, with experience managing a high deal flow of complex transactions. Experience at a prominent law firm and at a company with sophisticated transactional practices is preferred. Undergraduate degree from a nationally-recognized university. J.D. from a “top 20” law school. Good standing with California state bar.
