·Diageo’s positions in markets around the world make the provision of timely, accurate and creative antitrust advice a critical component of setting trade terms, delivering the Sales agenda and managing customer and partner relationships globally.

·Develop and communicate trade strategy solutions and bespoke competition advice for North America and Latin America & Caribbean that provide maximum commercial latitude within the bounds of relevant laws and our own internal Codes. Augment and lead antitrust and compliance training in North America and Latin America & Caribbean·Provide antitrust advice for projects including acquisitions, disposals and negotiation of new joint ventures in North America and Latin America & Caribbean· Provide antitrust law best practice, training and mentoring to lawyers and teams in market units.Primary Counsel to Global Director Corporate Social Responsibility·Counsel on development and delivery of global responsibility agenda and ensure that it is relevant and sensitive to all markets. The geographic reach of the Counsel’s other responsibilities will ensure that our global strategy incorporates a broad range of perspectives, is culturally relevant to all markets and is properly communicated across different regions.· Prioritise and evaluate the best use of internal and external legal resources

·Deliver world class antitrust advice, compliance programmes and training for Diageo as well as the central antitrust element of the critical M&A and Sales agenda with particular emphasis on Latin America & Caribbean and North America.·Through legal counsel to Global Director Corporate Social Responsibility and to broader CR function, protect and promote Diageo’s corporate reputation and counsel on development and delivery of global responsibility programme that leads the industry and insulates Diageo from legal and regulatory risk.· Enable Diageo to deliver business goals (particularly the compliance, responsible drinking and M&A agendas) creatively and ethically

·Enhance compliance training and deliver bespoke competition advice to Hubs.·Analyze potential acquisitions and ensure successful consummation of deals.· Minimise and Mitigate legal risk by early involvement in key projects, guiding resolution of issues and proactively creating an environment where risk is avoided.· Ensure that the global responsible drinking agenda furthers Diageo’s goal of leading the industry on responsibility whilst minimizing the risk of liability.·Ensure that external legal costs/resources are efficiently managed
