The Director role is a strategic partner with internal business leaders and department managers providing legal advice and counsel to business and support functions such as legal outsourcing, call center operations, and marketing. The position will assist in the planning, development and execution of the company’s regulatory compliance strategies and objectives and will be responsible for related procedures, training, auditing and certain investigations. Managing a team of legal professionals, the Director will lead by example managing relationships and negotiations with leaders across the organization. Proven management skills are required in addition to excellent communication, analytical skills, the ability to drive results, provide solutions, and prioritize multiple projects independently. Complex litigation, trial experience desired.

• Strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework affecting the debt buying and debt collection industries, including, but not limited to, FDCPA, FCRA, and GLBA • California State Bar Membership • JD from an ABA accredited law school / MBA preferred • Excellent academic record • 8+ years of legal and management experience for the Director, Legal Affairs and Compliance • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
